Oh Goody!  Monday Again!

The Violet students were beasts again today.  I’ve decided to fix them, though.  I’m moving them to a smaller room where I can maintain control better and throw out the noisy kids whenever I choose.  They’ll be getting another quiz, soon too.  I don’t like giving “punishment” quizzes, but it’s one of the few ways that I can determine who’s paying attention in class.

Serhat {the ESL Center Coordinator} made a unintended funny comment this afternoon – especially notable since he makes only a few mistakes in his use of English.  He was editing a set of academic regulations, and he wanted me to take a look at them.  Since he knew I had worked as a freelance editor, he wanted to ask me formally.

“Jason, I need professional help.”  I tried desperately to keep from laughing, but the sincerity of his tone ruined my attempt…
